413 Petersburg Fire Station
Our Volunteer Fire Station, 413 Petersburg is located in the north western part of the county inside the city limits of the town of Petersburg. Originally this station was established to support the city of Petersburg Fire Department and the citizens of Lincoln County that lived outside of the Petersburg City Limits. This is one of the now twelve (12) stations that make up the Lincoln County Volunteer Fire Rescue.
This station responds mutual aid with our neighboring Marshall County and was the first to start running medical calls with licensed individuals (originally called first responder program not licensed as Emergency Medical Responder or EMR). Today we respond to all types of calls like, extrication, land or water rescue, grass fires in addition to the firefighting aspect.
The first piece of equipment was a 1978 “mini-pumper” that came from Forestry. Since that time, upgrades to our equipment are a 2005 GMC front line Class A Pumper, 1980 Ford Tanker and a 1996 Service/Rescue unit.
We welcome you to stop by if you see us at the station for a visit as we would like to show you around.
