Lincoln County First Responders Program
Lincoln County Volunteer Fire and Rescue, since 2007 has operated an emergency medical responder program. As part of this program, each member spends 60 hours in a class room and hands on setting. In order to pass a state and national registry test, in order to receive a license to practice as an emergency medical responder in the state of Tennessee. This program is administered through the hospital ambulance service with medical oversight from a local doctor.
As and emergency medical responder, our goal is to provide a level of emergency care until the arrival of an ambulance. Each member must go through a re-certification process every two years, in order to keep their license.
